The documentary Beyond Zero is the story of the American company Interface (carpet manufacturer) and its CEO Ray Anderson. Its journey to carbon neutrality took almost 30 years before the first carbon neutral carpet was launched. Sustainability needs strong leadership, vision and engagement employees at all levels, and that's what Beyond Zero is all about. The company and its employees have developed innovations such as 100% recycled nylon yarn, which is now used by brands such as Nike, Levi's and Stella. Since 1996, when they set the goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2020, the company has reduced its carbon footprint by 96%, waste production by 91% and water consumption by 88%. Interface's current mission is to exceed the carbon neutrality goal and become carbon positive.
