Nepanikař Conference
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication at Brno University of Technology will host the first Nepanikař Conference, focusing on remote crisis intervention and current approaches to mental health care.
The Nepanikař project has a special connection to our faculty. Its founder, Veronika Kamenská, is a graduate of FEEC BUT, and in 2019 she came up with the idea of creating the first Czech mobile app providing free and immediate psychological support. What started as a mobile app has gradually grown into an organisation that now also offers anonymous chat and email counselling, a Help Map featuring more than a thousand contacts for mental health professionals and crisis centres, online therapy, and educational workshops.
The first Nepanikař Conference, entitled Closeness from Afar: The Power of Remote Crisis Intervention, will bring together experts in psychology, crisis intervention, psychotherapy, and other helping professions at FEEC BUT.
The programme will cover current trends in remote crisis intervention, the use of AI in mental health care, working with specific groups of clients, and follow-up care after an acute crisis. The conference will also feature expert talks, workshops, a PhD session, and a poster session.
When: 10 September 2026, 9:00–17:05
Where: Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication, Brno University of Technology, Technická 12
