FEEC BUT has maintained a long-standing partnership with AT&T, particularly in the areas of telecommunications, the Internet of Things (IoT), 5G/6G networks, and artificial intelligence. An important part of this collaboration is the AT&T Innovation Lab at the Department of Telecommunications, where students work on practical projects and gain hands-on experience with modern technologies used in industry. The partnership also includes joint research activities, support for teaching, expert lectures, internships, and career opportunities for FEEC students.
A significant component of the cooperation is the AT&T Junior Hackathon, whose programme has long involved academics from the Department of Telecommunications at FEEC BUT as mentors and jury members. The event supports the development of technical skills among talented secondary school students and encourages their interest in engineering and technology education.
“The establishment of this partnership with AT&T confirms the success of our long-term cooperation. We believe that our joint activities will create new opportunities for students, support the development of talent, and strengthen the connection between the faculty and technological practice,” said Jaroslav Koton, Dean of FEEC BUT.
