Renewable sources of energy and their overall role in the present world have evolved into a subject of ongoing debate. In response to the trend, the expert teams of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Technology have put at the center of their attention photovoltaics and specific instruments or concepts of energy storage (such as accumulators, supercondensers, and fuel cells). But the classic research into materials and manufacturing technologies still remains a core activity, with the specialized analyses and consulting being much sought after in the industry.
