Matematics embodies an indispensable tool for engineering as much as an omnipresent aspect of everyday life. At our department, this comprehensive domain of science is examined and developed especially in terms of continuous and discrete dynamic systems analysis; statistical processing of datasets; using fuzzy and polyvalent structures in the modeling of decison-making processes; and automata theory. Continuous and discrete systems are investigated by a dedicated research team including also renowned international researchers.
