International Summer School on Microcontroller Programming
Starting on August 17, 2026, our faculty hosted an International Summer School on Microcontroller Programming. Over the past two weeks, participants had a unique opportunity to study alongside international students and gain comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of embedded systems.
The specialized instruction was led by Prof. Thomas Fischer from the University of Applied Sciences Vienna and Prof. Gerold Bausch from the Leipzig University of Applied Sciences. The program offered intensive training focused on microcontroller processor cores, working with development tools (cross-compiler, debugger, flashing), device driver design, and interrupt handling. Students also gained hands-on experience with A/D and D/A converters, timers, and UART, SPI, and I²C communication interfaces for connecting external sensors and actuators.
We would like to thank all the instructors for leading the course and the students for their high level of commitment. The know-how and international contacts gained will serve as an excellent foundation for the participants in their future studies and professional careers.
