BUT travels to Prague to meet applicants. It will present its study programs at Gaudeamus

Are you still deciding which university to apply to? The final post-secondary education fair will take place in Prague from 20 to 22 January, and BUT will be there. Come and visit us at the PVA Expo Prague exhibition grounds to learn more about study opportunities at a university that ranks among the leaders in research, innovation and cooperation with industry!

Brno University of Technology will be represented at Gaudeamus Prague by students from all eight faculties. They will introduce what studying at BUT is like, which study programmes applicants can choose from and how the admissions process works. In addition, they will show high school students what student life in Brno looks like and why BUT is a great choice for further study not only in technical fields but also in natural sciences, arts and economics.

“This year, representatives of the Faculty of Chemistry will be coming to Prague for the first time, so we will have a complete representation of all faculties at the fair. As for our university institutes, apart from the Centre for Sports Activities they target a different audience, so they will not be present,” said Helena Sadílková, coordinator of applicant activities at BUT. She added that sport will nevertheless be a recurring theme throughout the university’s presentation, as physical activity is an integral part of studying at Brno University of Technology.

In addition to essential information about study options and sports opportunities, Brno University of Technology stand will also offer details for applicants with specific needs and the opportunity to ask current university students anything else they would like to know about BUT. High school students will also be able to make the whole process of choosing their ideal study programme more enjoyable with a unique product of controlled explosion – university popcorn!

The Gaudeamus fairs are among the best-known educational events, aiming to create a space for meetings between representatives of educational institutions and their prospective students. For Brno University of Technology, personal contact with applicants is key, which is why it takes part in post-secondary education fairs every year. “We want to show high school students that BUT is a place where creativity, innovation and real-world practice come together. Due to the growing interest in our stand in this region, we are therefore increasing the number of our students at the booth this year to maintain the quality of our presentation for all visitors,” Sadílková concluded.
