
Lifelong learning, thanks to its accessibility and flexible options, is an attractive form of study for everyone who wants to broaden their horizons in their free time. The individual courses are designed to help improve professional skills and contribute to personal development.
The study is suitable for the general public, people interested in retraining, and students who, after unsuccessful studies, would like to reapply to BUT. Through lifelong learning, it is possible to complete missing courses and, after being re-admitted to the university, continue previous studies. After successfully completing a selected course, participants receive a certificate of completion.
Currently, lifelong learning programs are offered by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Information Technology, the Faculty of Chemistry, the Faculty of Civil Engineering, the Faculty of Business and Management, and the Institute of Forensic Engineering. Applicants can choose from a wide range of courses, from Machine and Instrument Design, through Special Toxicology in the Environment or Electronics for Information Technology, to Road Accident Analysis.

In addition to lifelong learning, art enthusiasts can take part in afternoon drawing courses organized by the Faculty of Fine Arts. The classes are designed for beginners, who will acquire basic drawing skills, as well as for advanced participants, who will find space to further develop their individual abilities in expressive drawing. - course participants do not have student status,
- most courses are part of subjects included in accredited study programs,
- participants complete courses under the same conditions as regular students,
- tuition is charged – the price for each course is stated in the e-application.
