Opening of a new student workspace at the Department of Biomedical Engineering
A student workspace, primarily serving students working on research and student projects, has been established at the Department of Biomedical Engineering with financial support from the purely Czech company DEYMED Diagnostic. Biomedical students can utilize this beautiful space for work, discussions, sharing their ideas, presenting procedures and results of their work.

The opening of the new student workspace is part of the developing collaboration between Department of Biomedical Engineering (DBE) and DEYMED Diagnostic. Representing the company, one of the firm's owners, Mr. Miroslav Moravec, symbolically opened the workspace together with sales manager Miroslav Falta. On behalf of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication (FEEC), Dean Vladimír Aubrecht took on this role, alongside Jana Kolářová from DBE, who spearheaded the realization of this project for students. The project was supported by institute head Radim Kolář, the workspace design was created by Andrea Němcová, and colleagues from the entire DBE workplace contributed significant assistance.
"I have immense respect for Czech companies that have succeeded in the international market with high-tech products while not forgetting to support education and research in the Czech Republic. I believe that today's event is the foundation for future close collaboration between DEYMED Diagnostic and the Department of Biomedical Engineering," stated faculty dean Vladimír Aubrecht.
The technical solutions of devices offered by DEYMED Diagnostic for measuring brain activity, testing muscles and nerves, or diagnostic and therapeutic technologies for cardiology and neurophysiology are subjects of instruction in programs focused on biomedical technology and engineering.
"We perceive the collaboration with FEEC as very beneficial and believe it will lead to further joint projects and activities in the future. We would like to continue contributing to the development of talented students and supporting innovation in this important field," declared Miroslav Falta.
Improving the environment for all students continues in other parts of the faculty as well. With ABB company, we are now completing the equipment of the student roomat Technická 10, which is intended to serve all students for both study and relaxation. Right next to it is a room that we plan to offer to other corporate partners for enhancement and improvement. We consult on student spaces with the student association Studenti pro Studenty so that we create facilities that students will genuinely enjoy using. Similarly, a work-relaxation corner sponsored by NXP should be created in the library at T12. We also thank all students and employees who participated in the study mapping the faculty's emotional landscape. Their participation helped us identify key locations we are focusing on and will gradually work to cultivate.
