Electromobility Day 2025 attracted hundreds of visitors and offered a glimpse into the future of mobility
On Thursday, 15 May 2025, an Electromobility Day took place in front of the building of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication of BUT, which attracted the general public and experts in the field of modern transport and electromobility. The event offered a rich programme that gave visitors an insight into the latest technologies and trends in sustainable mobility.
Test drives and technological innovations
Visitors had the opportunity to test drive electric vehicles from Škoda, Renault, Dacia, Hyundai, Kia and Alfa Profi. In addition, there were company displays and dynamic technology demonstrations from companies such as Skoda Auto, Garrett Motion, Valeo, Bosch, Vitesco Technologies and Alfa Profi. Another interesting feature was the presentation of a prototype electric car converted from the Škoda Favorit, which was designed by Richard Růžička from the Faculty of Information Technology at Brno University of Technology.
Laboratory tours and expert discussions
The programme also included tours of the Faculty's specialised laboratories, where visitors could see demonstrations of electric motors, battery systems, a photovoltaic polygon, charging technologies, an impact-free chamber or the optics and wireless communications laboratory. The day ended with a panel discussion with experts in the field of electromobility, including Petr Baxant, Tomáš Kazda and other experts.
Successful event with a positive response
Electric Vehicle Day 2025 confirmed the growing public interest in electromobility and modern transport technologies. The organisers from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication of Brno University of Technology expressed their satisfaction with the event and are looking forward to the next edition.
