The first guest on VUT's up? is the Chancellor of BUT. | Author: Václav Koníček
The first guest is BUT Chancellor Kamil Gregorek, who explains why the new podcast was created and how the university communicates with 18,000 students and hundreds of staff. He reveals what his role as Chancellor involves, why he enjoys the job despite receiving around 200 emails a day, and what he would do if someone mistakenly called him "Rector".
“As Chancellor, I’m involved in many different areas, and I must say it’s an incredibly fulfilling job. Demanding, but fulfilling. What motivates me most, given the scale and position, is knowing who I’m doing it all for,” he says.
And why a podcast? “We already use several internal communication channels, but I find the podcast format to be very modern and relevant. It offers listeners content they can play basically anytime,” says Chancellor Gregorek, adding that he sees it as an interesting addition to the communication portfolio.
