Notice of Planned Power Outage (FEKT)

Dear colleagues, dear students,

We would like to inform you about a planned controlled power outage that will take place on the FEKT campus due to the connection of a newly installed photovoltaic power plant (PV system) to the distribution network.

Date and Location of the Outage

Date: Saturday, 23 May 2026
Time: 08:00 – 16:00
Affected buildings: T8, T10 and T12

Operational Restrictions

For safety and operational reasons, buildings T8, T10 and T12 will be completely closed to users for the entire duration of the outage (08:00–16:00).

Important Measures for Users

Please follow these instructions to protect your data and equipment:

• Shut down devices: Before leaving on Friday (22 May), please properly shut down all PCs, monitors, measuring instruments, and other electronic devices.
• Disconnect from power supply: We recommend physically unplugging sensitive equipment to prevent potential damage during power restoration.
• Servers and systems: Critical infrastructure, selected servers, and essential systems will be powered by backup sources (UPS/generator) during the outage. However, other local network elements and services in the affected buildings may be unavailable.
