We would like to inform you about a planned water outage in the VUT Pod Palackého vrchem campus, which will take place due to an emergency repair of valves in the FSI – VUT area. This technical failure has a significant impact on the operation of our facilities.

Complete Closure of FEKT Buildings

Due to the interruption of water supply and the associated hygiene and safety risks, it has been decided to completely close all buildings of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication Technologies (FEKT) during the following period:

From: Friday, April 17, 2026, from 3:00 PM
To: Sunday, April 19, 2026, until 8:00 PM

During this time, no persons are allowed to be present in offices or laboratories. Please plan your experiments, work, and study activities outside of this time period.

Instructions Before Closure

We kindly ask all staff members and students to do the following before Friday at 3:00 PM:

• Secure equipment: Check all laboratory equipment that requires water cooling or depends on water supply. If you have planned experiments dependent on water or water cooling during this period, please reschedule them to another date.
• Switch off equipment: We recommend switching off all unnecessary equipment in offices.
• Leave the buildings: The buildings will be locked and electronically secured at 3:00 PM.
