FEEC Extends Strategic Partnership with ABB

On 26 January 2026, a follow-up agreement on cooperation in the field of PR and marketing was signed with ABB s. r. o., which will thus continue as a strategic partner of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication at Brno University of Technology (FEEC BUT). The agreement was signed on behalf of the Faculty by Dean Vladimír Aubrecht, who also introduced the incoming Dean Jaroslav Koton during the meeting.

“We greatly appreciate our long-term cooperation with ABB. We value partners who open the door to practical experience for our students and show them real career opportunities. At the same time, we believe that such close collaboration can motivate students to continue their studies at the doctoral level and further develop their research potential,” said Vladimír Aubrecht, Dean of FEKT.

The meeting was attended on behalf of ABB by Aleš Rychetský, Managing Director, and Václav Kovář, Director of the High-Voltage Switchgear Division within the Power Engineering Division. ABB is also among the twenty key partners who signed a memorandum with BUT supporting STEM disciplines.


Strategic Partnership within the PerFEKTní Partner Programme

Strategic partnership represents the highest level of cooperation within the corporate partnership programme PerFEKTní Partner, alongside the Partner and SME Partner levels.

In addition to cooperation in science and research, FEKT offers its corporate partners, for example:

  • participation in the student competition conference Student EEICT,
  • presentation at the Faculty career fair perFEKT JobFair,
  • increased visibility of the company and its cooperation with the Faculty through the FEEC website, social media, and campus spaces, reaching students and the academic community,
  • opportunities to organise expert lectures and seminars for students.

Cooperation that Motivates Students

Connecting the Faculty with companies helps students better understand the practical application of the knowledge they gain and increases their motivation throughout their studies. Many successful graduates also return to FEKT as corporate partners, inspiring new generations of students.
